Currently there are problems on the DTU network, that hinders the access to Computerome HPC and Cloud.
The support team is working on the issue, but unfortunately we do not have any forecast on when the problem will be resolved.
Access to Computerome
Access to Computerome is available to everyone interested in Danish Life Sciences and we encourage both academic and industry users to use the facility.
To inquire about access, please contact DTU National Lifescience Center, on E-mail: email@example.com.
Access requests should be sent via E-Mail to Computerome Support, and must include full name, organization E-mail and mobile phone number for each requested account.
Setup and Security framework
The Danish National Supercomputer for Life Sciences has an ultra high-density footprint, and is installed in two 500kW containerized Tier IV data center modules.
The system is designed using the bioinformatics reference architecture developed by CBS over the past 20 years and using the standard practices in the industry. It has a full set of comprehensive tools for both management and usage of the system. To get acquainted with the physical Hardware setup please visit here.
The comprehensive access and security protocol is described below.
The Getting Started page guides new users in the use of the system.
Contact and Support
When requesting support, it is very helpful if you can include at least the following information:
- A relevant and descriptive Subject:
- Which system am I on - Computerome main or <named> cloud system
- What I did - command line(s), loaded modules, working directory, etc.
- Specifically for login issues, please always provide - tool you use (ThinLinc, SSH login), hostname you connect to, messages you receive
- What I want to happen
- What happened instead - warnings, error messages, logs, etc.

COMPUTEROME 2.0 STORAGE SOFTWARE UPGRADE
Computerome 2.0 Dell/EMC Isilon storage will be software upgraded.
The upgrade will start
Monday, August 17., 2020 08:00 CEST
and is expected to complete within no more than 48 hours.
Upgrade is performed in on-line mode and should cause only minor performance impact during the process.
COMPUTEROME 2.0 SSH LOGIN NODE IS DOWN FOR HARDWARE REPAIRS
As announced in Computerome 2.0 newsletter on May 4. 2020, Computerome 2.0 SSH login node (ssh.computerome.dk) is down for hardware repairs 12:00 - 15:00 CEST today, As an alternative you can use Thinlinc connection to desktop.computerome.dk - see Virtual desktop
We now have an AMD EPYC™ 7601 - Memory Bound HPC Performance server for testing. Please contact Computerome Support for access.
The Computerome (pronunciation: \kəm-ˈpyü-tər-ōm\) cluster supercomputer is named in accordance with the use of the '-ome' suffix in the field of study in biology.
Computerome is housed at DTU Risø Campus.
