Computerome overview

Computerome currently consists of 16704 CPU cores, with 102 TB memory providing an aggregate peak performance in excess of 483 TeraFLOPS.

It is connected to 8 PB of high performance EMC ISILON storage.

Computerome comprises two types of hardware for a total of 569 nodes:

Nodes are connected through Mellanox SX6036 36-port 56Gb/s InfiniBand/VPI Switch Systems.

Storage

Storage in Computerome is provided by a high performance EMC ISILON solution, consisting of 6 storage racks with 72 nodes and a current total of 6.5 PB of available disk space configured as a single file system. Each rack is internally interconnected through 10 Gb Intel Internal InfiniBand bridges.

Storage is connected to compute nodes via Mellanox SX6036G 36-port Non-blocking Managed 56Gb/s InfiniBand to 40GbE Ethernet Gateway giving an aggregate I/O bandwidth in excess of 75GB/s.
